Soccer Fun

Quin is having a great time playing soccer. It is so fun to watch him play and the weather is gorgeous this time of year.
This is a picture of his friend from church...Kody. Kody is in the second grade and as you can see Quin is as tall as he is!
Who knows how tall this guy will be!

After interviewing Quin, he would like for everyone to know his interests for the month of October are as follows:

Favorite Food-Macaroni and cheese (As usual)

Favorite Sport-bowling

Favorite Toy-Neopet (JubJub)

Favorite thing to do: Play with his friends, and kill bugs (grasshoppers preferably)

As you can see it is never...ever...boring around here. Quin keeps me on my toes and laughing constantly. The other night on our way home from Church he informed me that he had been drowsy all day and his stomach and bones were beeping. I tried not to laugh because he was so serious.

He is learning to read in school now. He brings home papers every day of small three letter words to read. He sounds them out and is doing such a good job! I am so impressed with how fast he learns. He is very social too. When we are leaving school in the afternoon all the kids are yelling, "Bye, Quin!" You can tell he is very loved by them all.

As for me, school is wonderful and challenging all at the same time. We are getting ready to go to clinicals next month so our instructors are trying to make sure we are well prepared before we go. We have only three more tests and then our final and I will have completed my first LPN semester. Time has gone by so fast! I am thankful every day that I have chosen this profession. I am excited to go to school every day because I love what I do!!

Quin and I are looking forward to Christmas. We are already listening to Christmas music and Quin is making his "wish list". It is going to be a great Holiday season and I look forward to sharing it with all of you!

October Fun

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to keep everyone we love updated with current events in the world of Trisha and Quin. My friend Misty Barrett has inspired me with her blog family page and so I thought I would give it a whirl!

Quin is having a blast in kindergarten! He loves it so much and I am not suprised. I went to his school's Open House a few weeks ago and asked his teacher how he is doing in class. Her response to me was,"Quin is wonderful, we just have to work on his talking in class!" I laughed and decided that he obviously inherited this talking gene...lol. (The picture up top is from Quin's first day of school).

I feel like he is such a "big" guy these days. Well, that is until I hear him say funny things that let me know he is still my "little" guy:-). Yesterday morning we were on our way to church and Quin says, "Mom, I'm shimmering!" I laughed and said, "You mean shivering?"
He also told me yesterday as we were trying to decide where we were going to go eat after church that he felt in his heart God was telling him we didn't need to go eat anywhere but Sonic. I said, "Well, we definitely need to listen to what the Lord says to you in your heart!" So needless to say, we ate lunch at Sonic. His sincerity was beautiful and I was moved to the core...God likes to eat at Sonic...I am so convinced, especially after that heart felt conversation.

Quin is playing soccer and really getting the hang of it! He gets distracted every once and a while but doesn't stop to pick up bugs and flowers like last year. In practice he has made several goals, so I can't wait for the day he makes a goal in a game!

Everything is great with me as well! I am loving nursing school and I think to myself every day...I am one day closer!! I am still leading worship for Choose Life and love it more than anything! Life is good in Hobbs New Mexico! Please stay tuned for more pictures and things to come....love you all!
